WORLD OCEAN DAY

World Ocean Day took place on Saturday June 8th 2019.

Nautilus Diving in partnership with PROJECT AWARE Fondation, offered actions to clean up Ngor beach and bay and Magic Land beach and bay simultaneously.

This clean up action was locally supported by the company SOBOA, our main sponsor.

Goal is to raise environment awareness upon local population of Ngor village and Soumbedioune village and especially the importance to not trough trash in the sea.

Nautilus Diving is a partner of Project Aware Fondation which support worldwide cleanup and environment aware actions throughout the world.

NAUTILUS IS 10 YEARS OLD !!

Nautilus Diving with Philippe and Hilda was created in May 2019.

We will celebrate 10 years of existence of Nautilus this month !

Things have changed since the small club with 2 boats of 8 divers and 15 dive equipment, up to today 2 dive centers with 3 boats from 8 to 14 divers, and more then 30 dive equipments !

Nautilus Diving has also became PADI 5* IDC Dive Resort in 2018, the highest worldwide level in PADI dive center s which also allows us to organize Instructor training courses.

TECH diving and CCR (Rebreather) arrival in 2018 have also contributed to the development of Nautilus Dive center.

POSEIDON CCR (REBREATHER) TDI COURSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WEST AFRICA

A few weeks ago, took place for the first time in West Africa a TDI course done in internship with 6 students on Poseidon Rebreather.

Fantastic moment of diving in a world totally silent since the rebreather doesn’t do any bubbles nor sound. All level divers who did the course were unanimous that it was easier to approach marine life this way.

It was a revelation for some divers. Some other decided to continue further their apprenticeship by taking the second level of rebreather course to be able to do decompression dives and stay longer in the zone of 30/40 meters deep.

The first level divers were surprised to discover some fish species known for being fearful and to come to them at less then 1 meter distance, all this of course around 20 meters deep.

INSTUCTOR TRAINING COURSE WITH NAUTILUS

IDC (Instructor Developpment Course) has started since May 12.

4 candidates have signed in the course : Jean-Christophe, Joël, Oussama and Yannick.

This course is directed by Hilda, our new Course Course in Nautilus.

Course will take place on evenings and weekends until the final exam which will be on June 22-23 with a PADI examiner.

The exam is done in 3 parts : theory part, pedagogy part in water and class room, to evaluate candidates on all fields of knowledge.

This is the 3rd PADI Instructor course organized by Nautilus after June 2015 and August 2018. Previous courses had 100% passing score. We hope the same result this year !
