Fauna and Flora

Located in the tropical part of the Atlantic Ocean, Dakar offers fish in such quantities and varieties that it is an exceptional scuba-diving site.

Here one can find a mixture of Northern Atlantic Ocean fish, tropical ones and even Mediterranean species.

And you will often come upon grouper, surgeon fish, scrawled filefish, blennies, white seabream, butterfly fish, angel fish, salema porgy, saddled seabream, tiger rays, puffer fish, trumpet and flute fish, moray eal, parrot fish, Red or gray carp, trevally pen or common trevally, barracuda, or grouper hunting in the middle of anchovy or garfish schools.

The luckiest divers can meet green turtles, short-tail nurse sharks, guitar rays, eagle rays, but also Manta rays that come to say hello!
